In vitro Cytotoxicity by ISO 10993-5 using animal cells equivalent to human skin helps determine skin compatibility. Skin Irritation and Delayed hypersensitivity reactions on small group of human volunteers based on dermal evaluation are carried out with due Ethics Approvals. This helps to establish Safety of product when used by a large population.

Microbiological Examination of Cosmetics and Cosmetic Raw Materials for Total Bacterial Count (TBC)
Microbiological Examination of Cosmetics and Cosmetic Raw Materials for specific pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli.

Passing criteria:
Bacteria ˃3 log reduction / 99.9% in 28 days.
Fungi ˃2 log reduction / 90% in 28 days.
